Surface sow on a peat/sand mix seed compost and do not exclude light. Sowing Time: February to July. Do not allow the temperature to rise above 65F (18C). If no germination after 6 weeks, pre-chill for 3-4 weeks. After sowing, seal in a polythene bag or cover with a piece of glass and place in a shady spot but do not exclude light which is beneficial for germination. Keep the soil damp but not wet. Germination usually takes 10-30 days at 15-18C (60-65F), higher temperatures can prevent germination.
