Purple Basil also looks good as the centrepiece of a hanging basket. For containers and baskets grow on in 7.5cm (3in) pots and plant up allowing each plant 10-15cm (4-6in) of space. Pick the leaves anytime for fresh use or freezing; for drying pick as the flowers start to open.
